Jetstar Airways is Australia's largest low-cost carrier and the budget arm of the Qantas Group — a strategically important subsidiary that allows Qantas Group to compete in the price-sensitive leisure market without diluting the Qantas premium brand. Operating from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport as its primary base alongside Sydney and other Australian airports, Jetstar serves domestic Australian routes, trans-Tasman services to New Zealand, and international leisure routes across Asia Pacific including Bali, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, and Hawaii. As the anchor of Qantas Group's low-cost strategy, Jetstar Australia is part of the broader Jetstar Group that includes Jetstar Asia (Singapore), Jetstar Japan, and Jetstar Pacific (Vietnam).
