ℹ️ About Air Busan

Air Busan is a South Korean regional low-cost carrier headquartered in Busan — South Korea's second city and its largest port — operating domestic Korean routes and international services to Japan, China, and Southeast Asia from Gimhae International Airport. As a subsidiary of Asiana Airlines (itself now owned by Korean Air), Air Busan is part of the complex Korean aviation restructuring that is ongoing following the December 2024 Korean Air-Asiana merger. Plans have been announced for Air Busan to eventually merge with Korean Air's Jin Air LCC subsidiary — creating a dominant South Korean budget carrier — though the timeline and exact structure remain subject to regulatory review.
