Which airlines allow pets in the cabin?

Most major airlines allow small pets (cats and dogs under 8kg including carrier) in the cabin on domestic and some international routes. The pet must fit in a carrier under the seat in front of you.

Airlines that generally allow pets in cabin:

• American Airlines, Delta, United, Southwest (US domestic)

• Air Canada, WestJet (domestic Canadian routes)

• Lufthansa, Air France, KLM (European routes)

• Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airways

• Air India, IndiGo (domestic India)

Airlines that do NOT allow pets in the cabin:

• Emirates (cargo only)

• British Airways (cargo only)

• Singapore Airlines (cargo only)

• Qantas (cargo only)

• Ryanair, easyJet (no pets at all on most routes)
