Xiamen Air

Xiamen Air is a Chinese regional airline operating from its home base at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport in Fujian province — a strategically important coastal city known for its economic links with Taiwan. As a SkyTeam member through its relationship with parent company China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Air provides passengers with global alliance connectivity. The airline operates one of Asia's most recognizable all-Boeing 737 fleets (the aircraft featuring a distinctive phoenix livery) and serves domestic Chinese routes plus international routes to Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and North America.

Xiamen's geographic position near Taiwan gives Xiamen Air particular significance for cross-strait travel, and the airline operated the first direct mainland China-Taiwan charter services. Xiamen Air was founded as a joint venture between China Southern and the Xiamen municipal government.
