Scoot

Scoot is Singapore Airlines' wholly owned low-cost carrier subsidiary, operating medium and long-haul budget services across Asia Pacific, South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe from Singapore Changi Airport. Scoot fills the crucial low-cost gap in the SIA Group's product portfolio — allowing Singapore Airlines to maintain its premium brand positioning while capturing budget-conscious travelers through a separate, younger, more playful brand identity. The airline's name reflects its cheeky, irreverent personality that deliberately contrasts with Singapore Airlines' famous formality.

Scoot operates a fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners for longer-haul routes and Airbus A320 family jets for shorter Asian connections, offering a product that is more inclusive than the strictest ULCCs — with some complimentary meals on longer routes and in-seat entertainment on 787 flights. As part of SIA Group, Scoot carried 5.3 million passengers in FY2024/25 contributing to the group's record results. Scoot's ScootPlus product offers a premium economy-style product on select long-haul routes.

The airline merged with Tiger Airways in 2017, dramatically expanding its network and fleet.
