Rex (Regional Express) is Australia's largest regional airline, providing essential scheduled air services to communities throughout regional, rural, and remote Australia that would otherwise be completely cut off from air transport. For 20+ years, Rex served exclusively as a regional turboprop carrier, then controversially entered the domestic jet market in 2021 to compete directly with Qantas and Virgin Australia on major routes.
