About FlyArystan
FlyArystan is Kazakhstan's first and only low-cost carrier, operating as a subsidiary of the Air Astana Group with a mandate to serve the domestic Kazakhstani aviation market and make air travel affordable for ordinary Kazakhstani citizens. Named after the Kazakh word for "lion," FlyArystan launched in May 2019 and immediately began disrupting Kazakhstan's domestic market — where Air Astana had previously operated as the only significant carrier. The airline operates an all-Airbus A320 family fleet and applies the unbundled ULCC pricing model to Kazakhstani domestic and selected CIS routes, with base fares significantly below Air Astana's.
