ℹ️ About Caribbean Airlines

Caribbean Airlines is the national airline of Trinidad and Tobago and the largest carrier in the English-speaking Caribbean, operating as the region's premier full-service airline with a mission that blends commercial aviation with a deep sense of Caribbean pride and identity. Founded on September 27, 2006 as the successor to the financially troubled BWIA West Indies Airways, Caribbean Airlines launched commercial operations on January 1, 2007 and has grown from five Boeing 737-800 aircraft and 128 weekly departures to 10 destinations into a modern carrier operating over 600 weekly flights with a fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets and ATR 72-600 turboprops. The airline is jointly owned by the governments of Trinidad and Tobago (88%) and Jamaica (12%), and operates from its primary hub at Piarco International Airport in Trinidad with a major secondary base at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica.

Caribbean Airlines distinguishes itself from budget competitors in the Caribbean market by offering complimentary meals and in-flight entertainment on its mainline Boeing services — a rarity among regional carriers — under its Caribbean Plus premium economy product introduced in 2018. A comprehensive rebrand in 2020 modernized the airline's visual identity, retaining the iconic hummingbird — a symbol of Trinidad and Tobago, known as "the land of the hummingbird" — while introducing vibrant new colors of blue, green and purple. In October 2024, Caribbean Airlines was added to the TSA PreCheck program, making it the first Caribbean carrier to offer this service, significantly improving the US travel experience for its passengers.

The airline's route network spans the Caribbean islands, North America (New York JFK, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Toronto), and South America (Guyana, Suriname, Barbados), providing vital connectivity for the Caribbean diaspora.
