Batik Air Indonesia is the full-service domestic and regional airline arm of the Lion Air Group, operating as the premium complement to Lion Air's budget services. Where Lion Air focuses ruthlessly on lowest possible fares, Batik Air offers a more inclusive product — complimentary meals, seat selection, and more generous baggage allowances — at slightly higher prices that compete with Garuda Indonesia on domestic Indonesian routes. The Batik Air brand was created to capture the segment of Indonesian travelers who wanted something better than Lion Air's basic service but did not require the full Garuda premium experience.

Batik Air operates Boeing 737 and Airbus A330 aircraft and serves Indonesian domestic routes and regional international connections.
