Breeze Airways is a new-generation US low-cost carrier founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman — the same visionary who previously co-founded Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue Airways, and Azul Brazilian Airlines. Breeze represents Neeleman's fifth airline venture and is built around a compelling "nice" brand promise — combining genuinely low fares with a surprisingly pleasant passenger experience. The airline's primary strategic focus is on connecting mid-size US cities that lack non-stop air service to other major destinations, creating new travel options where passengers previously had no choice but to connect through a major hub.

Breeze operates two tiers of service: "Nicer" (standard Economy) and "Nicest" (premium seats with extra legroom and amenities). The airline operates a mix of Embraer E190/E195 aircraft for shorter routes and Airbus A220-300 aircraft — the most technologically advanced narrowbody in commercial aviation — for longer routes. Breeze's technology-first approach means the airline operates entirely without telephone customer service, using app-based and text-based communication instead.

This is a deliberate cost-saving measure that also appeals to younger, digitally native travelers. The airline's "BreezePoints" loyalty currency rewards frequent travelers with points redeemable for future flights.
